Our Evolution
The Retail Era (1980s)
Connecting Point began as a local computer retail store, selling and servicing personal computers for consumers and small businesses. Back then, most people had never used (or even seen) a personal computer, so our early focus on community education and service quickly became a key driver of success.
Pivot to Business Solutions (1990s)
By the early 1990s, the market had shifted dramatically and the big-box competitors finally entered the tech space. Recognizing the changing landscape, we pivoted away from a pure retail model to concentrate on product sales and on-site services for local businesses. This move helped us establish ourselves as a trusted technology partner in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming.
Present: Managed Services & Cybersecurity (2000s)
In 2006, Connecting Point embraced the managed service provider (MSP) model, focusing on proactive IT support, consistent service delivery, and strategic consulting. As threats to business data and operations increased, our approach evolved once again to prioritize cybersecurity and risk mitigation services. Each shift has required new expertise and fresh perspectives, but our commitment remains the same: we help clients navigate technology changes with confidence, always striving to build long-term partnerships.
